Овца святого Якоба. Удивительное многорогое животное. Чаще всего их
голову украшают четыре рога, два из которых растут вверх - как у козы, а
два других - закручиваются вниз - как у овец других пород.
Но
встречаются животные с шестью и даже восемью рогами. Сложно представить
себе такое создание с частоколом на голове! Причём, рога могут
располагаться асимметрично. С одной стороны лба их может быть один -
два, а с другой - до шести...
Представители этой породы лучше всего
чувствуют себя на сухих возвышенностях. Они неприхотливы в выборе корма,
очень любят соль.
В настоящее время овца святого Якоба широко распространена в Англии, особенно много этих животных в гористых районах Шотландии.
