разом, неустанно и без малейшего напряжения. А ведь механизм поддержания
нормального давления у этих животных уникален! Специалисты NASA успешно
скопировали его при разработке скафандров нового поколения!
Сердце
жирафа весит свыше 10 кг и способно поднять кровь к голове на высоту 3-х
метров, создавая давление до 400 мм.рт. ст. Смотрю и думаю, как же
справляется этот гигант с огромными перепадами артериального давления и
не падает в обморок при наклоне и подъёме головы.
Оказывается, в
основании черепа жирафа расположена разветвлённая система мелких
кровеносных сосудов - "чудесная сеть".Когда голова поднята, давление у
жирафа такое же, как у других крупных копытных. Но при опускании головы
кровяной поток моментально рассредоточивается по "чудесной сети", а
венозные клапаны пропускают кровь только в сторону сердца, затрудняя её
отток к мозгу.
Эта же уникальная кровеносная система препятствует
скоплению крови в нижних конечностях животного и оно не истекает кровью
от незначительных ран на ногах. Кровеносные сосуды жирафа очень мощные, с
толстыми стенками, но необыкновенно эластичные и упругие.
